The history of Civil Disobedience is a long and international one.

ACT UP practices a form that comes from a variety of progressive movements.
Below are several pages describing some of the history, theory, and practice of civil disobedience.

Many of these sections were taken (with love) from the Handbook for Nonviolent Action available from the War Resister’s League in New York City.

I invite you to join the NIO blog network and take a stand for those imprisoned in labs.  Remember, if they could fight back, their tormentors would have expired long ago.  We have an obligation to expose the abusers.  It is the LEAST we can do!  I welcome your emails & look forward to adding your name to our team.

If you have a Facebook account, join the extended Negotiation Is Over network.”.

To submit work to NIO for consideration and publication, please send an email to camille@negotiationisover.com with the subject “submission”.
