“Rather than having your entourage of gun-toting thugs patrolling and videoing us, why didn’t you have them attempt to incarcerate and torture Saylor and I against our wills rather than inflicting your sadistic savagery on voiceless, innocent monkeys? We caged ourselves and waited for you to come for us….”

by Jason Miller
On Saturday, January 16th at 2PM at the corner of 39th and State Line, Bite Club of KC protested KU Medical Center’s ongoing enslavement, torture, and murder of innocent and defenseless primates. As if it isn’t appalling enough that they are performing surgery on incarcerated monkeys without their consent (a moral abomination in and of itself), they aren’t even performing this mutilation and murder within the bounds of the extremely weak animal welfare laws that exist. As the Kansas City Star recently reported , “the University of Kansas Medical Center has been cited for about 160 violations of federal animal protection laws during experiments at university laboratories.”
.
We dare you to incarcerate and subject us to experimentation against our will!
It’s no wonder that KUMC officials refused Bite Club activists’ requests to visit their vivisection labs to see how KUMC is spending our tax money. It is also abundantly understandable that they would not allow the media access to their torture dungeons either.
.
If you want the University of Kansas Medical Center to stop torturing monkeys with our tax dollars, let them know about it:

Jason Miller is NIO’s Senior Editor of Wildlife Defense. Founder & Publisher of Thomas Paine’s Corner, press officer for the NAALPO, and Founder of Bite Club KC, Jason has become a fierce of defender of wildlife, employing both creativity and an uncompromising militance. In his words: “Having grown weary of watching members of the JCPRD board, Michael Meadors, Randy Knight, the Kansas Department of Wildlife, and the rest of those responsible for the impending Shawnee Mission Park deer slaughter hide behind abstractions and sell unsuspecting compassionate people on the notion that ‘culling’ the deer is the ONLY option and that it will be a ‘humane’ process, I decided to bring a little dose of reality into their lives, and into the lives of the public.” And reality — the face of death — is exactly what Miller brought to the table. Reminiscent of the notorious horse’s head scene in the classic movie, this last bold maneuver by Miller has earned him the title “Godfather”.
If the nonhumans could fight back, their tormentors would have expired long ago. We have an obligation to expose the abusers. It is the LEAST we can do! I welcome your emails & contributions.
